Surface Piercing Policy & Placement Guidelines

Surface piercings are semi-permanent modifications placed directly beneath the dermis. While longevity varies based on individual anatomy, lifestyle, and placement—ranging from several months to multiple years—these piercings carry an inherent risk of rejection. To maximize stability and healing success, we utilize implant-grade staple bars (90-degree surface bars) for all procedures. We do not perform single-point dermal anchors.

Approved Placement Areas

To ensure optimal healing and minimize the likelihood of premature rejection, we exclusively perform surface piercings on the following anatomical locations:

Clavicle

Sternum

Cheekbone

Supraorbital (Above the Eyebrow)

Surface Tragus (Side of the Face)

Nape (Posterior Neck)

Restricted Areas

We strictly do not perform surface piercings on the lower back. Clinical experience and healing outcomes demonstrate that high-movement, high-friction areas like the lower back are highly prone to chronic irritation and premature rejection.
