Surface Piercing Policy & Placement Guidelines
Surface piercings are semi-permanent modifications placed directly beneath the dermis. While longevity varies based on individual anatomy, lifestyle, and placement—ranging from several months to multiple years—these piercings carry an inherent risk of rejection. To maximize stability and healing success, we utilize implant-grade staple bars (90-degree surface bars) for all procedures. We do not perform single-point dermal anchors.
Approved Placement Areas
To ensure optimal healing and minimize the likelihood of premature rejection, we exclusively perform surface piercings on the following anatomical locations:
Clavicle
Sternum
Cheekbone
Supraorbital (Above the Eyebrow)
Surface Tragus (Side of the Face)
Nape (Posterior Neck)
Restricted Areas
We strictly do not perform surface piercings on the lower back. Clinical experience and healing outcomes demonstrate that high-movement, high-friction areas like the lower back are highly prone to chronic irritation and premature rejection.

⚠️ Booking Policy: A $20 deposit via Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Cash is required to secure your appointment. A deposit link and payment details will be provided on the booking confirmation page. It can also be located in the secure your slot section of this website or Instagram bio. If you need an alternative payment method, please reach out directly. Please note that no-calls and no-shows will forfeit their deposit. If the deposit is not booked after 24hrs your appointment will be cancelled
⚠️ Age Restrictions and Minor Consent Policy
At Black Sheep Body Piercing, we maintain strict age and documentation standards to ensure the safety and well-being of our younger clients, establishing that we do not perform any oral, facial, or body piercings on children under the age of 16 under any circumstances. For clients under 18 procedures require the physical presence of a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the appointment and will not be performed without the presentation of an official birth certificate establishing guardianship, one form of government-issued photo identification for the parent or guardian, and one form of identification for the minor.
